• Pricing: Calculated by actual cast weight after production — you pay for the gold on the scale, not what is lost in finishing.

Custom Order Process

1. Inspire Us — Begin by submitting an image or sketch of your desired piece. Whether it’s a reference photo, a hand-drawn concept, or a vision in your mind, our artisans will bring it to life with precision and intention.
2. Design Confirmation — Our team refines your concept into a detailed design proposal. You review and approve all specifications — metal, stone selection, dimensions, and estimated price — before a single gram of gold is touched.
3. Deposit — A deposit is collected to begin production of your bespoke commission.
4. Casting — Your piece is cast in solid gold. The exact weight is confirmed, documented, and shared with you at this stage.
5. Final Price — Your final price is calculated based on actual cast weight. You are charged at this point — before polishing and finishing.
6. Finishing — Your piece is hand-polished to a mirror shine. Note: finishing removes up to 0.5–1g from cast weight. You are not charged for this loss.
7. Delivery — Your completed commission is packaged and delivered to you.

A Note on Gemstones

Alexander X Designs works with a curated selection of both natural and laboratory-grown stones. Here is what every client should know before selecting their stones:

• Natural Diamonds — Formed over billions of years beneath the earth. Each stone carries unique inclusions and characteristics. Color matching across multiple natural diamonds is more complex and may require additional sourcing time. Graded by Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat (the 4Cs).
• Laboratory-Grown Diamonds (Synthetics) — Chemically and optically identical to natural diamonds. Offer greater consistency in color and clarity, making them ideal for multi-stone settings requiring a uniform look.
• Colored Gemstones — We source Rubies, Emeralds, and Sapphires in both natural and lab-grown varieties. Natural colored stones carry inclusions that are part of their character and authenticity. Color consistency across natural stones cannot be guaranteed and may vary from stone to stone.
• Inclusions — All natural stones contain inclusions to varying degrees. Our team will advise you on clarity grades and help you select stones that meet your aesthetic and budget requirements.
• Advisory — If color uniformity is a priority for your piece, laboratory-grown stones are strongly recommended. Natural stones are irreplaceable in character but require flexibility in color matching.
